Job Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for:
Project Analysis: Conducting thorough analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to determine the scope of electrical works.
Estimation: Accurately estimating the cost of electrical components and labor required for commercial, educational, and industrial projects.
Bid Preparation: Preparing comprehensive and competitive bids in collaboration with the project management and engineering teams.
Cost Management: Monitoring and managing project costs throughout the estimation process, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
Vendor Negotiation: Collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and negotiate favorable terms.
Risk Assessment: Identifying and assessing potential risks associated with electrical projects and proposing mitigation strategies.
Client Interaction: Engaging with clients to understand their requirements, providing clarification on estimates, and building strong relationships.
Continuous Improvement: Staying updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction methodologies to enhance the accuracy of estimations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the M&E sector, with a focus on commercial, educational, and industrial projects.
Proficiency in estimation software and strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
