Senior Support Worker - Children's Residential Home (Full-Time, Permanent)
Location: Leiston, Suffolk
Salary: From £31,000 per annum
Must hold a full UK driving licence
We're recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join a warm, supportive children's residential service based in Leiston. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and looking to take the next step in their career.
About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you'll play a key role in providing care, guidance, and support to children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. You'll lead by example, ensuring that high-quality, person-centred care is delivered in a safe and nurturing environment.
Your duties will include:
·Supporting young people with their daily routines, education, and personal development.
·Leading shifts and supervising a team of Support Workers.
·Promoting independence, resilience, and positive outcomes for children.
·Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care planning.
·Ensuring safeguarding and regulatory standards are met at all times.
About You
·Previous experience in a residential childcare setting (essential).
·Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
·Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
·Passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential.
·Full UK driving licence (essential).
